Report Within the App
The fastest way to report content is directly in Vael. In-app reports are prioritised in our moderation queue.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) on any thought, message, or profile.
- Select "Report".
- Choose a category and add an optional description.
- Tap "Submit Report".
All in-app reports are reviewed by a human moderator. Our target review time is 24 hours. Severe violations (threats of violence, CSAM, self-harm content) are escalated immediately.
What You Can Report
- Harassment, bullying, or threats
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
- Self-harm or suicide content
- Sexual content or non-consensual intimate imagery
- Spam or coordinated inauthentic behaviour
- Doxxing or sharing private information
- Terrorism or violent extremism
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — these reports are also made to NCMEC/IWF
- Impersonation
- Other policy violations

Use this form if you cannot report in-app or if the content has already been removed.
What Happens After You Report
- A human moderator reviews your report within 24 hours.
- Severe violations (threats of violence, CSAM, self-harm crisis) are escalated immediately.
- If we remove content, you will be notified in-app (and by email if you provided one).
- The reported user will not be told who submitted the report.
- CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).
